1939
The company founder rents a workbench in a workshop in the Largo do Arouche, in the center of São Paulo, to make chains for carriages.
1944
During the Second World War, with the drop in production capacity in European factories, Sabó makes its first seal.
1945
SABÓ installs its first plant, on a lot in the Água Branca region in São Paulo.
1951
The company purchases its second delivery car, a Ford F1. The first was a Fordson 44 van.
1955
A Centerless MC – 600 grinding machine is delivered, which will improve both the appearance and production of the seals. SABÓ participates in the first Brazilian Thousand Miles race.
1960
SABÓ participates in the first Automobile Exhibition, held in Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo.
1965
The first testing laboratory is installed to evaluate Sabó seals.
1975
SABÓ enters the international market, supplying seals to Opel, the German subsidiary of GM, and substituting a local supplier who was encountering difficulties. La Bruss, the German seal company, starts production of seals with Sabó’s technology.
1988
SABÓ is acknowledged internationally on winning the Supplier of the Year Award from Adam Opel, the German assembly plant of GM cars.
1991
SABÓ wins the Quality Excellence Awards prize from Isuzu Motors of Japan.
1992
The company acquires la Todaro, manufacturer of seals in Argentina.
1993
The SABÓ Group this time takes over Kaco, traditional, second largest German seal manufacturer, founded in 1914.
1994
The first technical support office is inaugurated in the USA.
1997
The plant in Hungary starts up and SABÓ inaugurates the first Technical-Commercial Centers in Italy and in the USA.
2001
The Hungarian plant doubles in size.
2002
Expansion of the manufacturing area is started in the SABÓ Argentina installations. The group is elected by GBM as the best supplier in the Mercosur and is awarded a Certificate of Merit for the 27th time.
2003
SABÓ introduces its new plant in Mogi Mirim. Sabó wins the Finep award – Finance Company for Studies and Projects, given by the Ministry of Science and Technology and presented by President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva.
2004
SABÓ is chosen as one of the most admired companies in Brazil by the magazine Carta Capital.
2007
The group’s first plant is inaugurated in the USA
2008
SABÓ inaugurates new factory in China.
2009
SABÓ ranks No. 2 in Ranking of Brazilian Transnational, according to the Fundação Dom Cabral.
2011
SABÓ participates in the 10th Automec the flag of fairs and events Anhembi in Sao Paulo

SABÓ turns 70 years old Pioneering Brazilian Souto begins with the development of the global automotive industry. On April 22, 1942 , a Hungarian toolmaker named Joseph Sabo , begin to tread the path of what has become today Sabo Group , a multinational 100 % Brazilian . SABÓ was chosen and awarded as company of the year the city of Lincolnton and Lincoln County in the state of North Carolina. Among the industries that competed for the prize were Wal-Mart , Duke Energy and all linked to Lincoln County businesses , encompassing the entire industrial center of Lincolnton and nearby cities such as Gastonia , Denver and Dallas./nThe award was given to SABO for recognition in their business performance , role model , positive global impact and involvement with the community of Lincoln County./nThe primary business focus of the company 's competitiveness , leadership and innovation, brands SABÓ here in Brazil too.
2014
The SABÓ Group signs the sale of its majority stake in its subsidiary in Germany, KACO, the Chinese group Zhongding - Sealing Business Unit forming The Kaco Group, a leading supplier of sealing of the world; SABÓ remains a 100% Brazilian capital, stopping all its activities in South America, production and marketing of seals and gaskets for OEM and replacement markets.
